About The Position

Join our team as a night shift, full-time, Pharmacy Technician in Tulsa, OK. Hillcrest Hospital South, a full-service 180-bed facility in south Tulsa, provides a comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient services using cutting-edge technology. It is recognized as the only DNV Orthopedic Center of Excellence (OCE) in Oklahoma and has an ANCC-accredited RN residency program. The pharmacy technician, under the supervision of a pharmacist, will assist in the technical, non-clinical aspects of preparing medications for dispensing and assist in pharmacy operations.

Requirements

• High School graduate or GED
• 2+ year’s previous hospital pharmacy technician experience (inclusive of training programs)
• Completion of sterile compounding training/competency (as required by State BOP)
• Active Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy, if required by state of employment
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT)
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care

Responsibilities

• Assist in the technical, non-clinical aspects of preparing medications for dispensing
• Assist in pharmacy operations
• Participate as a member of a team with reliability and punctuality
• Does related work, as required
• Maintains competency in the compounding of sterile IV medications
