About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians follow company standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow practices, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe, inclusive environment. After starting, they must complete the company training program and meet applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Duties may be restricted until those requirements are complete. The role includes following pharmacy procedures at production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off workstations; assisting patients; performing permitted inventory tasks; and supporting additional health services where allowed by law and supported by required training and certification. A Pharmacy Technician may also obtain Technician Immunizer status and assist with vaccine preparation and administration, subject to state requirements. The position requires regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends, and may involve working at other stores in the market as business needs require.
