About The Position

Wegmans pharmacy technicians help build customer trust by providing high-quality service and supporting customers’ medical attention, care, and health needs. They work in a fast-paced pharmacy alongside compassionate colleagues, preparing and dispensing medications safely and in compliance with regulatory standards and company policies. Some states require national technician certification and/or state registration; candidates may be hired before obtaining these qualifications, and Wegmans will support them through the process. Certified pharmacy technicians may earn additional compensation depending on location.

Requirements

Must be 18 years or older.
Proficient computer and data entry skills.
Basic math skills, including unit conversions, to perform dosage calculations and determine day supply accurately and support patient safety.
Problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service with patience, empathy, and care in a fast-paced environment.
Perform accurate dosage calculations and conversions using basic math while following regulatory standards and company policies.
Troubleshoot rejected insurance claims and address issues to support customer needs.
Input prescription information accurately and efficiently.
Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and company policies.
Handle medications properly and follow department policies and procedures.
