About The Position

GoGoMeds is seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician for a full-time, non-customer-contact role in Pharmacy Operations. The position focuses on accurate medication preparation and packaging, documentation, compliance, and support for the pharmacy’s operational needs. The technician works closely with pharmacists and other team members and reports to the Department Pharmacy Manager.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with no nights or holidays. Overtime may be available during the week or as business dictates and is scheduled in advance. The work location is GoGoMeds, 525 Alexandria Pike, Southgate, Kentucky 41071.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Kentucky Pharmacy Technician Certificate.
• PTCB certification.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
• Manual dexterity to handle and package medications.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a pharmacy technician; desired but not required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare and package prescription medications for dispensing.
• Perform quality checks on prepared medications to ensure accuracy and compliance with prescriptions.
• Document medication preparation and inventory activities accurately.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and company policies for record-keeping and documentation.
• Prepare and maintain reports as required by the pharmacy manager.
• Follow pharmacy laws, regulations, and standards, including those related to medication handling and compounding.
• Adhere to safety protocols to help ensure a clean and safe working environment.
• Participate in continuing education and training to stay current with pharmacy practices and regulations.
• Work with pharmacists and other team members to support efficient pharmacy operations.
• Support special projects and initiatives as directed by the pharmacy manager.
• Assist with training and mentoring new pharmacy technicians.
