CVS Health•Dumfries, VA
•$17 - $27•Onsite

About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence in retail stores. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians follow company standard operating procedures, pharmacy workflow practices, and applicable laws and standards, and contribute to a safe, inclusive team culture. After entering the role, technicians must complete the company training program and meet the registration, licensing, and certification requirements of their state. Duties may be restricted by the Pharmacy Manager until those requirements are completed. The role may include supporting immunizations and other patient health care services—such as point-of-care testing and offsite clinics—where permitted by law and supported by the required training and certification. Where permitted, Technician Immunizers complete additional licensing and training, educate patients about vaccines and direct vaccination questions to the pharmacist, monitor and report adverse reactions, collect and document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies.
