About The Position

The Bleeding and Clotting Disorders Institute (BCDI) is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician to join their medical care team. This role operates under the supervision of the Pharmacy Director and involves performing technical and clerical tasks related to the preparation, labeling, and dispensing of specialty medications. Requirements

• Certified Pharmacy Technician in the State of Illinois.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proficient in the use of specialized pharmacy software.
• Able to work independently with minimal direction and with exceptional attention to detail.
• Customer focused with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be dependable, energetic and highly motivated.

Nice To Haves

• Two-plus years pharmacy technician experience preferred.
• Specialty pharmacy experience a plus.
• Experience with insurance verifications and prior authorization requests preferred.
• Sterile compounding training a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs designated technical and clerical tasks associated with the preparation, labeling and dispensing of specialty medications.
