About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence in retail stores. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure a caring and exceptional experience. Technicians support smooth pharmacy operations and the prompt, safe, and accurate fulfillment of prescriptions by following standard operating procedures, best practices, and effective communication. They contribute to a safe and inclusive culture and provide patient-centered service throughout their shifts. After starting, Technicians must complete a company training program and satisfy applicable state Board of Pharmacy registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Duties may be restricted by the Pharmacy Manager until those requirements are met. Where permitted by law and supported by appropriate training and certification, Technicians may also provide additional patient health care services, including immunizations, point-of-care testing, and staffing offsite clinics. Immunization support may require additional licensure and training to obtain Technician Immunizer status.
