Pharmacy Technician - Part Time - Days - 8hr QVH

Responsible for the preparation, storage, and distribution of medications under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Training as per State Board of Pharmacy requirements.
- Acute care experience preferred.
- Knowledge of trade/generic drug names.
- Knowledge of aseptic technique for the preparation of all types of IVs.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
- Sufficient typing skills for computer order entry.
- General understanding of pharmacy computer applications.
- Ability to use common reference material.
- Able to withstand stress of high activity area.
- Proficiency in English (verbal and written skills) in order to communicate effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills required.
- Pharmacy Technician License is required.
- BLS or ACLS required (ICH/QVH only).
- Annual 2 hours of stroke education required for those working at QVH.
