About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence in retail locations. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians follow standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow procedures, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team culture. Technicians must complete a company training program and meet applicable state Board of Pharmacy registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Duties may be restricted by the Pharmacy Manager until those requirements are met. Where permitted by law and supported by training and certification, technicians may provide additional patient health care services, including immunizations, point-of-care testing, and staffing offsite clinics. Technician immunizers must complete additional licensure and training requirements and may prepare and administer vaccines, educate and refer patients, respond to adverse reactions, document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies.
