Pharmacy Technician

CVS Health•Corpus Christi, TX
•$16 - $24•Onsite

About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians follow company standard operating procedures, pharmacy workflow practices, and applicable legal and ethical requirements, and contribute to a safe, inclusive team environment. Technicians must complete the company training program and meet registration, licensing, and certification requirements applicable under their state’s Board of Pharmacy guidelines. Until those requirements are complete, the Pharmacy Manager may restrict certain duties. Where permitted by law and supported by the required training and certification, technicians may also provide additional patient health services, including immunizations, point-of-care testing, and support at offsite clinics. Technician immunizer duties may include preparing and administering vaccines, educating patients and referring vaccination questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, responding to and reporting adverse reactions, documenting patient information, and managing vaccine supplies. This is a part-time position with 20 anticipated weekly hours. The typical pay range is $16.00–$24.00. Benefits vary based on hours worked and eligibility and may include dental and vision coverage, wellness resources, employee discounts, access to certain voluntary benefits, and other programs.
