Pharmacy Technician

CVS Health•Houston, TX

About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy teams in delivering safe, accurate, and timely prescription services and a high-quality patient experience. They work across pharmacy workstations, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off, following company procedures and communicating effectively with patients and colleagues. Technicians demonstrate empathy, contribute to a safe and inclusive team culture, and help patients access immunizations and other services where permitted and appropriately trained. They complete company training and meet applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements; until those requirements are satisfied, the Pharmacy Manager may restrict their duties. Depending on state regulations and qualifications, technicians may also obtain immunizer status and support vaccine preparation and administration, patient education and information collection, adverse-reaction monitoring and reporting, documentation, and vaccine supply management. The position requires regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends, and flexibility to work shifts at other stores in the market as business needs require.
