About The Position

Pharmacy4Humanity, an AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) company, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician. AHF is the largest specialized provider of HIV/AIDS medical care in the nation, with a mission to provide cutting-edge medicine and advocacy regardless of ability to pay. The Pharmacy Technician will contribute to AHF by demonstrating the competencies of a Level I Technician as described in the AHF Pharmacy Policy, Procedure and Training manual. This role requires sensitivity to the stigma of HIV and associated comorbidities, understanding barriers to care, and the importance of patient privacy and anonymity. The technician will be a passionate advocate for AHF's initiatives and uphold the AHF Core Values and Mission. AHF operates in a dynamic environment with a collaborative organizational structure, and the Pharmacy Technician will work as part of a close-knit team to foster good working relationships with healthcare providers, staff, and referral sources to facilitate patient information and medication treatment plans.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate the competencies of a Level I Technician as described in the Scope of Practice and Responsibilities found in the AHF Pharmacy Policy, Procedure and Training manual.
Enhance the reputation of AHF by being sensitive to the “stigma” of HIV and associated comorbidities, understanding the difficulty of treating chronic diseases, barriers to care, and the importance of patients’ needs to maintain anonymity and privacy.
Be a passionate advocate for AHF's top initiatives.
Ensure that the AHF Core Values and Mission stay top of mind with all that you do.
Work as part of a close-knit team to establish and maintain good working relationships with healthcare providers, staff and referral sources to facilitate the exchange of patient demographics and medication treatment plans.
