CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They are often a first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians follow pharmacy workflows, company standard operating procedures, best practices, applicable laws, and ethical standards, and contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team environment. They must complete the company’s training program and meet state registration, licensing, and certification requirements; until those requirements are completed, the Pharmacy Manager may restrict their duties. Depending on state law and required training and certification, Technicians may also provide services such as immunizations, point-of-care testing, and staffing offsite clinics. Technician Immunizers must complete additional licensure and training, educate patients about vaccines, refer vaccination questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, monitor and respond to adverse reactions, document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies. The position requires regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends, and flexibility to work shifts at other stores in the market as needed. The role involves sustained standing and mobility, handling and scanning items, repetitive hand and finger movements, reaching, stooping, close visual work, and occasional lifting or exerting force up to 20 pounds. This is a full-time position with 40 anticipated weekly hours. The typical pay range is $16.50–$25.00 per hour; the actual offer depends on factors including experience, education, and geography. Eligible full-time colleagues may receive medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, retirement savings options, wellness programs, and other resources.
