About The Position

Lafayette Regional Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a per diem Pharmacy Technician to support its inpatient rehabilitation team in Lafayette, Indiana. The hospital provides intensive rehabilitation for patients recovering from strokes, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, multiple trauma, and complex orthopedic conditions. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, unless registered by the State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures.
• General computer skills, including data entry, word processing, email, and record management.
• Effective organizational and time management skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work closely and professionally with others.
• Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
• Ability to apply concepts of age and developmental stages when interacting with patients and families.

Nice To Haves

• Current state certification and registration with the Board of Pharmacy.
• Hospital experience.
• National certification (PTCB).

Responsibilities

• Retrieve, count, and measure drugs.
• Assist the Pharmacist with price-checking and restocking drugs.
• Access, input, and retrieve prescription information using a computer.
• Refer physicians’ calls and medical questions to the pharmacist.
• Integrate the hospital’s mission and “Guiding Principles” into daily practice.
