Pharmacy Technician

CVS Health•Auburn, CA

About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians work as part of the pharmacy team, follow standard operating procedures and best practices, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe, inclusive environment. Once hired, they must complete the company training program and meet applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements; duties may be restricted until those requirements are satisfied. Technicians may provide additional patient health care services, including immunizations and point-of-care testing, where permitted by law and supported by required training and certification. Where permitted, technician immunizers complete additional requirements to prepare and administer vaccines, educate patients and refer vaccination questions to the pharmacist, monitor and report adverse reactions, collect and document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies. The role requires regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends, and flexibility to work at other stores in the market as needed. The position is part-time, with 24 anticipated weekly hours. The stated typical pay range is $18.90–$28.90 per hour. Benefits for eligible part-time colleagues may include dental and vision coverage, wellness resources, employee discounts, access to certain voluntary benefits, and other programs; availability depends on hours worked and eligibility.
