About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers and help ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians follow standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow practices, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe, inclusive team culture. After starting, technicians must complete the company training program and meet applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Duties may be restricted by the Pharmacy Manager until requirements are complete. Technicians may provide additional patient health care services, including immunizations, point-of-care testing, and staffing offsite clinics, where allowed by law and supported by required training and certification. Where permitted, a technician may obtain Technician Immunizer status and support vaccine preparation and administration, patient education and referral, monitoring and reporting of adverse reactions, patient information collection and documentation, and vaccine supply management.
