About The Position

Mountain View Hospital is looking for a Pharmacy Technician to join our team! This role is accountable for the performance of pharmacy functions, including robotics, that serves clients in Idaho Falls and the surrounding communities.

Requirements

• Must be a high school graduate or hold equivalent certification.
• Must hold certification from a pharmacy technician training program.
• Must have a current pharmacy technician registration.
• Possesses computer skills.
• Must possess a valid Idaho driver’s license.
• Must meet minimum Idaho State auto insurance requirements.
• Must have use of an automobile for transportation.
• Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to interact effectively with a range of professionals.

Nice To Haves

• Pharmacy Intern/Extern must be a pharmacy student who is licensed by the Idaho State Board of Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Prepares compounded or other pharmaceuticals at the direction of and under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, in accordance with the rules and regulations set down by the Idaho State Board of Pharmacy.
• Ensures all pharmaceuticals prepared are checked by a licensed pharmacist prior to being dispensed for patient use.
• Performs clerical functions to support the smooth administrative operation of the pharmacy.
• Performs record maintenance, billing, phone reception and counter reception, and/or other clerical functions as directed.
• May run occasional errands as needed.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records and employee information and uses discretion.
• Complies with all PCI standards and other company policies and procedures for payment card acceptance and security.
