About The Position

The Pharmacy Technician in OR/Critical Care will perform unit dose preparation for cartfill and first doses, including non-sterile, non-hazard dose preparation for oral syringes from liquid dosage forms. They will also be responsible for the delivery of patient-specific doses and preparing and performing ADC replenishment. The role involves compounding non-sterile, non-hazardous medications, performing outpatient pharmacy phone triage, and handling insurance adjudication. Additionally, the technician will manage medication inventory through storage inspections and interact with pharmacy automated dispensing machines and hospital computer systems.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Active registration with the OH Board of Pharmacy
  • Must be PTCB certified and OH Board of Pharmacy certified within 18 months of hire.
  • Current NHA certification is acceptable.
  • ASHP accredited program graduate OR licensed as a Pharmacy Intern OR 6 months of pharmacy related experience
