About The Position

Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Pharmacy Technician for our Pharmacy Department who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED/equivalent
Licensure as Pharmacy Technician by the Maryland Board of Pharmacy.

Nice To Haves

Graduation from an ASHP accredited or PTCB recognized Pharmacy Technician Training Program preferred.
1 year of pharmacy experience
Previous experience with Cerner, Pyxis, Pharmogistics, Carousels.
Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).

Responsibilities

Prepare and delivers medication to Pyxis
Maintain an accurate inventory of medications and supplies by performing inventory management cycle counts and Pyxis unit inspections with electronic documentation
Assess need for and repackage oral solid and liquid medication for dispensing
Additional duties as assigned
