About The Position

As a Specialty Pharmacy Technician at Omnicell, you will support patients and pharmacists in a community pharmacy and contribute to a global organization focused on innovation in medication management. You will help prepare and dispense medications, provide personalized service to patients, learn about specialty diseases, and accurately enter pharmacy-related information into the relevant systems. The pharmacy serves the local community Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at 2510 Lakeland Dr, Ste 150, Flowood, MS 39232. The position offers a set weekday schedule with weekends off and benefits beginning on the first day. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Active, non-expired license or registration from the Mississippi State Board of Pharmacy.
• Working knowledge of pharmacy technician duties.

Nice To Haves

• Active nationally certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential; PTCB or NHA certifications are accepted.

Responsibilities

• Help the pharmacist prepare and dispense medications so patients receive the correct medication and dosage.
• Provide personalized customer service through in-person and phone communication, active listening, and guidance for patients navigating stressful situations.
• Learn and demonstrate understanding of specialty diseases, including autoimmune conditions, oncology, Hepatitis C, and HIV.
• Accurately and efficiently enter patient, medication, billing, and sales data into systems.
• Support and help improve the pharmacy and team, while continuing to learn and develop.
