Our new Mill City retail location will improve access for Santiam Canyon residents, making it more convenient to obtain medications closer to home. You will perform safe and accurate medication preparation and distribution for hospital and clinic patients under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist. This role helps ensure regulatory compliance, timely order fulfillment, and effective inventory and documentation practices to support safe patient care.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of principles that relate to the position
  • Aptitude in verbal and written communication, including ability to communicate with persons in all age groups
  • Possession of current Certified Oregon Pharmacy Technician licensure by the Oregon Board of Pharmacy
  • Possession of current applicable certification and registration
  • Possession of United States proof of citizenship or right to work in the United States
  • Possession of a driver license or analogous identification
  • Willingness to participate in Hospital orientation and educational in-service

Responsibilities

  • Under Registered Pharmacist supervision, ethically and lawfully execute and complete Pharmacy Technician duties described in the Hospital Pharmacy Manual and duties mandated by the Oregon Board of Pharmacy.
  • Fill medications received by pharmacy.
  • Receive pharmaceutical products from external sources and ensure appropriate invoice documentation for such products.
  • Maintain educational requirements for all required licensure and certification.
  • Attend professional conventions and in-services on current pharmacy topics.
  • Annually demonstrate competence in Department equipment operation.
  • Within practice scope, perform other duties assigned by Pharmacy Director and Clinical Pharmacists.
