About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence in a retail store. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers and help ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly, prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately, and patients receive caring service. Technicians follow company Standard Operating Procedures and pharmacy workflow practices, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe, inclusive team culture. After starting, technicians must complete company training and satisfy the applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Until all requirements are met, the Pharmacy Manager may restrict duties. Depending on applicable law and training, technicians may provide additional health care services and may support immunizations, including vaccine preparation and administration after completing the required licensing and training.
