About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They assist patients and customers, help ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately, and contribute to a caring, inclusive experience. Technicians follow pharmacy workflows, company standard operating procedures, best practices, and effective communication practices while working as part of the pharmacy team. New hires must complete the company training program and satisfy applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements; duties may be restricted by the Pharmacy Manager until those requirements are met. Technicians may provide additional patient health care services, such as immunizations and point-of-care testing, or staff offsite clinics when permitted by law and supported by required training and certification. Where permissible, a Technician Immunizer completes additional licensure and training, helps prepare and administer vaccines, educates patients and refers vaccination questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, monitors and reports adverse reactions, documents patient information, and manages vaccine supplies. This is a part-time role with anticipated weekly hours of 20.
