About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They help ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately, assist patients and customers, and contribute to a caring, inclusive experience. Technicians follow company standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow procedures, communicate effectively with colleagues and patients, and help pharmacists manage and improve patient health. Technicians must complete a company training program and meet applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Until those requirements are complete, the Pharmacy Manager may restrict duties. Depending on state law, training, and certification, technicians may also support immunizations, point-of-care testing, and offsite clinics. In locations where permitted, Technician Immunizers may help prepare and administer vaccines and perform related patient education, documentation, supply management, and adverse-reaction response duties. The position requires regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends, and flexibility to work shifts at other stores in the market when business needs require. It involves extended periods standing or moving, handling items, repetitive finger and hand movements, reaching, stooping, and occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds. The role is full-time, with 40 anticipated weekly hours. The typical pay range is $16.00–$24.00 per hour.
