About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence in retail stores. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians follow standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow practices, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe, inclusive team culture. After starting, they must complete the company training program and meet applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements; duties may be restricted until those requirements are met. Technicians may provide additional health care services, including immunizations and point-of-care testing, when permitted by law and supported by required training and certification. Where permitted, Technician Immunizers complete additional training and licensure requirements, educate patients about vaccines, refer vaccination questions to the pharmacist, respond to and report adverse reactions, document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies.
