About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring, personalized service. Technicians follow company standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow practices, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team culture. After starting the role, technicians must complete the company training program and meet applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Until those requirements are completed, the Pharmacy Manager may restrict duties. Depending on state law and required training or certification, technicians may also support immunizations, point-of-care testing, and offsite clinics. Where permitted, immunizer duties include vaccine preparation and administration, patient education and referrals, adverse-reaction monitoring and reporting, collecting and documenting patient information, and managing vaccine supplies.
