Requirements

• Applicants should have a current high school diploma or GED in addition to:
• Registration : Registered as a pharmacy technician with the State Board of Pharmacy as required by state regulations.
• Certification: Pharmacy Technician Certification as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and label patient drug orders as directed by the pharmacist.
• Deliver medications to medication rooms and nursing stations, as appropriate.
• Review anticipated admissions and medication administration records (MAR) to plan deliveries to automated dispensing machines.
• Restock usable medications/IVs returned to the pharmacy; file medication orders per department procedure.
• Replenish automated medication dispensing machines and document activities per policy.
• Communicate stock utilization and ordering needs; assist with ordering inventory and supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
