About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence in a retail store. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians follow company standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow practices, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe, inclusive team culture. After starting the role, Technicians must complete a company training program and meet the applicable state Board of Pharmacy registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Until all requirements are met, the Pharmacy Manager may restrict duties. Where permitted by law and supported by required training and certification, Technicians may also deliver services such as immunizations, point-of-care testing, or staffing offsite clinics. Technician immunizers must complete additional licensure and training requirements and may help prepare and administer vaccines, educate patients, refer vaccination questions to the pharmacist, respond to adverse reactions, document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies.
