About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence in retail locations. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers and help ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly, prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately, and patients receive caring service. Technicians follow company Standard Operating Procedures, best practices, and effective communication practices while contributing to a safe, inclusive, and engaging workplace. After starting the role, Technicians must complete a company training program and meet the registration, licensing, and certification requirements established by their state’s Board of Pharmacy. Until requirements are completed, the Pharmacy Manager may restrict duties. Depending on applicable law and required training and certification, Technicians may also provide additional patient health care services, including immunizations, point-of-care testing, and staffing offsite clinics. Technician Immunizers complete additional licensure and training requirements and may prepare and administer vaccines, educate patients, refer vaccination questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, monitor and report adverse reactions, document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies. The role requires regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends, and the ability to meet patient and business needs. The position is full-time, with 40 anticipated weekly hours. The typical pay range is $16.50–$25.00 per hour; actual offers depend on factors such as experience, education, and geography. Eligible full-time colleagues may receive medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, retirement savings options, wellness programs, and other resources, subject to eligibility.
