Pharmacy Technician

CVS Health•Bay Village, OH
•Onsite

About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers and help ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians follow company standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow practices, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe, inclusive team culture. After starting the role, Technicians must complete the company training program and satisfy applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Duties may be restricted by the Pharmacy Manager until those requirements are met. Technicians may perform additional patient health care services, such as immunizations and point-of-care testing, or staff offsite clinics when permitted by law and supported by required training and certification. Where permitted, a Technician may pursue Technician Immunizer status and support vaccine preparation and administration, patient education and referrals, adverse-reaction monitoring and reporting, patient information documentation, and vaccine supply management. The position is part-time, with 20 anticipated weekly hours. The typical pay range is $17.00 per hour.
