About The Position

As a Back-End Pharmacy Technician with Omnicare, you will help ensure medication needs and regulatory standards are met for patients in long-term care settings. The role works across assigned workstations in a closed-door pharmacy, with a focus on order fulfillment, packaging and dispensing medication, checking delivery orders and bins for accuracy, and coordinating stock rotation. Omnicare pharmacies serve skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and chronic care settings and are not open to the public.

Requirements

• Certification, licensure, or registration as a pharmacy technician, or as required by state law.
• At least one year of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience.
• Verifiable high school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in the long-term care industry.
• Prior experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
• PTCB National Certification.
• Five or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Rotate and work in assigned pharmacy workstations, including Packaging, Staging, Returns, Receiving, Narcotics, IV, Ekit, Compounding, Omnicell Cycle Fill, and Machine Packaging.
• Package and dispense medication and support order fulfillment in a closed-door pharmacy.
• Review delivery orders and bins for accuracy.
• Receive product deliveries; pull and stage products for distribution; rotate stock; and coordinate with drivers to ensure accurate shipments and timely deliveries.
• Perform physical inventories of medication.
