About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while delivering caring service. Technicians follow standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow practices, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe, inclusive team culture. After starting the role, technicians must complete the company training program and meet applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Duties may be restricted by the Pharmacy Manager until those requirements are completed. Technicians may support additional health care services, including immunizations, point-of-care testing, and offsite clinics, when permitted by law and supported by the required training and certification. Where permitted, immunizer duties may include vaccine preparation and administration, patient education and referral to the Pharmacist-on-duty, monitoring and reporting adverse reactions, documenting patient information, and managing vaccine supplies.
