About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and help the pharmacy team provide safe, accurate, timely prescription fulfillment and caring service. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers and contribute to a positive, inclusive experience through effective communication, empathy, and adherence to company procedures and professional standards. Technicians complete a company training program and meet applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements; the Pharmacy Manager may restrict duties until requirements are satisfied. The role may include supporting immunizations, point-of-care testing, and offsite clinics where permitted by law and supported by training and certification. Technicians who support immunizations must complete additional training and licensure requirements and may prepare and administer vaccines, educate patients, refer vaccination questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, respond to adverse reactions, document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies. This is a part-time position with anticipated weekly hours of 20.
