About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They are often a first point of contact for patients and customers and help ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. After starting, Technicians must complete a company training program and meet applicable state Board of Pharmacy registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Duties may be restricted by the Pharmacy Manager until those requirements are met. Where permitted by law and supported by required training and certification, Technicians may also provide services such as immunizations, point-of-care testing, and staffing offsite clinics. Technician Immunizers may prepare and administer vaccines and perform related patient education, documentation, monitoring, and supply management.
