About The Position

At CVS Health, Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail stores. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians work as part of the pharmacy team, follow standard operating procedures and best practices, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe, inclusive environment. After starting, technicians must complete the company training program and meet applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Duties may be restricted by the Pharmacy Manager until those requirements are complete. Technicians may provide additional patient health services, including immunizations and point-of-care testing, and may staff offsite clinics when permitted by law and supported by required training and certification. Where permitted, technicians may qualify as Technician Immunizers by completing additional licensure and training requirements. The role requires regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends, and flexibility to travel to other stores in the market when business needs require it.
