Pharmacy Technician

CVS Health•Durant, OK
•$16 - $24•Onsite

About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers and help ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians follow standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow practices, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe, inclusive team culture. After starting, they must complete the company training program and satisfy applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements; duties may be restricted by the Pharmacy Manager until requirements are complete. Depending on state law and required training and certification, Technicians may also provide patient health care services such as immunizations and point-of-care testing, or staff offsite clinics. Where permitted, Technician Immunizers complete additional requirements to prepare and administer vaccines, educate patients and refer vaccination questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, monitor and report adverse reactions, document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies. This is a part-time position with an anticipated 20 hours per week.
