More about our team: Valley Springs Behavioral Health Hospital offers compassionate, high-quality inpatient and outpatient mental health and co-occurring treatment for teens, adults, and seniors. We provide a full-range of evidence-based medical and clinical services in a state-of-the-art healing environment. Programs include inpatient mental health and co-occurring treatment, Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP). How you’ll contribute: The Pharmacy Technician provides essential distributive pharmacy services, support, and assistance to the registered pharmacist in a behavioral health setting. Reporting to the Director of Pharmacy, this role is responsible for refilling and maintaining automated dispensing systems, preparing daily medication carts, repackaging bulk medications, and managing pharmacy inventory. The technician must be registered with the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy and hold current PTCB certification or be a licensed pharmacy intern. This position requires strong critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to perform duties independently in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment. Note: This role does not involve medication compounding.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Registered with the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy in good standing
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Nice To Haves

  • PTCB Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred
  • Licensed pharmacy intern
