About The Position
As a Pharmacy Technician, you play a vital role in ensuring patients receive the right medications safely and efficiently. Working under the supervision of a pharmacist, you'll prepare and dispense medications, manage inventory, and support patient care areas. Your work directly impacts patient safety and the smooth operation of our pharmacy, making you an essential part of our healthcare team.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Pharmacy Technician License from the State of Michigan.
- Ability to use a computer keyboard and type approximately 25 words per minute.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work with diverse teams and patients under stress.
Nice To Haves
- 6 months of pharmacy experience.
Responsibilities
- Receive and enter medication orders into the pharmacy computer system.
- Prepare medications and labels for accurate dispensing.
- Deliver medications to patient care areas promptly.
- Maintain drug inventory in dispensing areas.
- Process medication charges for services rendered.
- Keep appropriate records to ensure compliance and patient safety.
