About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail stores. They help ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately, and provide caring, responsive service to patients. Technicians follow company Standard Operating Procedures and pharmacy workflow procedures, communicate effectively with patients and colleagues, and contribute to a safe and inclusive team culture. Technicians may support additional patient health care services, including immunizations and point-of-care testing, and may voluntarily staff offsite clinics where permitted by law and supported by training and certification. Where permitted, Technician Immunizers complete additional licensure and training, educate patients about vaccines, refer vaccination questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, monitor and report adverse reactions, collect and document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies.
