About The Position

The Certified Pharmacy Technician assists the Pharmacist in the provision of pharmaceutical services to inpatients, outpatients, and various hospital departments. This position is also involved in pharmacy data processing, inventory control, and other duties within the department.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Pharmacy technician certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board, or equivalent, is required within one year of employment if not received by date of hire.
• Competency in sterile product and chemotherapy preparation.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and effectively work through problems.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a pharmacy technician, hospital preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Pharmacist in the provision of pharmaceutical services to inpatients, outpatients, and various hospital departments.
