About The Position

Omnicare, a leading provider of pharmacy services to long-term care facilities, is hiring a Back-End Pharmacy Technician to support medication fulfillment and regulatory standards for patients in a closed-door pharmacy setting. Omnicare was sold by CVS Health and will continue operating as an independent organization; the person hired will be employed by Omnicare.

The technician rotates among assigned workstations and supports packaging and dispensing medication, checking delivery orders and bins for accuracy, coordinating stock rotations, receiving deliveries, staging products for distribution, and coordinating with drivers to ensure accurate and timely shipments. The role also performs physical medication inventories. The position is part-time, with 25 anticipated weekly hours.

Requirements

• Certification, licensure, or registration as a pharmacy technician, or as required by state law.
• At least one year of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience.
• Verifiable high school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in the long-term care industry.
• Prior experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
• PTCB National Certification.
• At least five years of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Rotate and work in assigned pharmacy workstations, including Packaging, Staging, Returns, Receiving, Narcotics, IV, Ekit, Compounding, Omnicell Cycle Fill, and Machine Packaging.
• Support order fulfillment, including packaging and dispensing medication.
• Review delivery orders and bins for accuracy.
• Coordinate stock rotations.
• Receive product deliveries, pull and stage products for distribution, and rotate stock.
• Coordinate activities with drivers to ensure shipments are accurate and deliveries are timely.
• Perform physical inventories of medication.
• Help ensure medication needs and regulatory standards are met for patients.
