About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy teams in retail locations by helping deliver safe, accurate, timely prescription fulfillment and caring patient service. Technicians contribute to efficient pharmacy operations, follow Standard Operating Procedures and pharmacy workflows, and help create positive patient experiences at the pick-up counter, drive-thru, and over the phone. They complete company training and meet the registration, licensing, and certification requirements established by their state Board of Pharmacy. Duties may be restricted by the Pharmacy Manager until those requirements are satisfied. Technicians may provide additional health care services, such as immunizations and point-of-care testing, or staff offsite clinics when allowed by law and supported by appropriate training and certification. Where permitted, a Technician Immunizer may complete additional licensure and training, help prepare and administer vaccines, educate patients and refer vaccination questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, monitor and report adverse reactions, collect and document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies. The role requires regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends, and the ability to complete required training within the designated timeframe. Technicians must be attentive, adaptable, service-oriented, communicative, able to use basic mathematical reasoning and resolve problems, and able to perform the listed physical demands. This is a full-time position with 40 anticipated weekly hours. The stated typical pay range is $16.50–$25.00 per hour; the actual offer depends on factors including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors.
