About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians follow standard operating procedures, pharmacy workflow procedures, best practices, and effective communication practices, and help foster a safe, inclusive environment where people feel valued. After starting the role, Technicians must complete a company training program and satisfy applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Duties may be restricted by the Pharmacy Manager until all necessary requirements are completed. Depending on state law and required training and certification, Technicians may also deliver additional health care services, such as immunizations, point-of-care testing, and staffing offsite clinics. Where permitted, Technician Immunizers may prepare and administer vaccines and perform related patient education, documentation, monitoring, and supply-management duties. The role requires regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends, and the ability to complete required training within the designated timeframe. The position involves sustained attention, customer service and communication, mathematical reasoning, problem resolution, and physical activities such as standing, reaching, repetitive finger movements, stooping, and lifting. The position is part time, with 29 anticipated weekly hours. The stated pay range is $16.00–$24.00 per hour.
