Pharmacy Technician

CVS Health•Forest Park, GA
•$17 - $25•Onsite

About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence in retail locations. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers and help ensure a positive experience, smooth pharmacy operations, and prompt, safe, and accurate prescription fulfillment. Technicians follow standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow practices, communicate effectively, demonstrate empathy and genuine care, and contribute to a safe and inclusive workplace. After starting, technicians must complete the company training program and satisfy applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Duties may be restricted by the Pharmacy Manager until those requirements are met. Technicians may also provide additional patient health care services, such as immunizations and point-of-care testing, and may staff offsite clinics when permitted by law and supported by required training and certification. Where permitted, Technician Immunizers complete additional licensure and training to prepare and administer vaccines, educate patients and refer vaccination questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, monitor and report adverse reactions, collect and document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies. This is a part-time position with anticipated hours of 20 per week. The stated pay range is $16.50–$25.00 per hour. The position is eligible for benefits and programs that may include dental and vision coverage, wellness resources, employee discounts, access to certain voluntary benefits, and other programs, depending on hours worked and eligibility.
