Pharmacy Technician

CVS Health•Augusta, GA

About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence in retail locations. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers and help ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly, prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately, and patients receive caring service. Technicians follow standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow practices, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe and inclusive culture. After starting, they must complete the company training program and satisfy applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Until those requirements are complete, the Pharmacy Manager may restrict their duties. The role may include supporting additional health care services such as immunizations and point-of-care testing, or staffing offsite clinics, when permitted by law and supported by required training and certification. Where permitted, Technician Immunizers complete additional licensure and training, educate patients about vaccines and refer questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, monitor and respond to adverse reactions, document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies. The position is part-time, with 20 anticipated weekly hours. The stated pay range is $16.00–$24.00 per hour.
