Pharmacy Technician

CVS Health•Hesperia, CA
•$19 - $29•Onsite

About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail stores. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians follow standard operating procedures, pharmacy workflow practices, and effective communication standards, and contribute to a safe, inclusive team culture. After starting the role, technicians must complete the company training program and satisfy registration, licensing, and certification requirements set by their state Board of Pharmacy. Until those requirements are met, the Pharmacy Manager may restrict duties. Depending on state law and required training and certification, technicians may also provide services such as immunizations and point-of-care testing, or staff offsite clinics. Where permitted, Technician Immunizers may prepare and administer vaccines and perform related patient education, documentation, supply management, and adverse-reaction response activities. This is a part-time position with 20 anticipated weekly hours. Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends, is required. The role involves physical activity such as standing for extended periods, handling and lifting items, reaching, repetitive finger movements, stooping, and close visual work. The typical pay range is $18.90–$28.90 per hour; actual pay depends on factors including experience, education, and geography.
