The Pharmacy Technician will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; performing order entry; procuring drugs; billing. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements. Schedule: This position is scheduled to work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 am to 9:00pm. This position may be required to work weekends and holidays as needed. About the Facility: The Kempsville Center for Behavioral Health is a TRICARE certified and Joint Commission-accredited behavioral health facility located in Norfolk, VA. The hospital provides acute and residential and partial hospitalization for children and teens exhibiting behavioral and or mental health concerns. This facility treats patients from ages 4 to 18. About the Pharmacy: The pharmacy hours are Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm. This centralized inpatient pharmacy will use CPOE and eMAR along with RX_HCS Clinical and Omnicell automated dispensing systems.
