CVS Health•Seymour, IN

About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers and help ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians follow standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflows, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe, inclusive team culture. After starting, they must complete the company training program and meet applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Duties may be restricted by the Pharmacy Manager until those requirements are satisfied. Technicians may provide additional patient health care services, such as immunizations, point-of-care testing, and staffing offsite clinics, when allowed by law and supported by required training and certification. Where permitted, immunizer duties include completing additional training and licensure requirements, preparing and administering vaccines, educating patients and referring vaccination questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, monitoring and responding to adverse reactions, documenting patient information, and managing vaccine supplies.
