About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy teams in delivering operational and service excellence in retail stores. They help ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately, and provide caring service as an often first point of contact for patients and customers. Technicians follow standard operating procedures, pharmacy workflow practices, and effective communication standards while helping create a safe, inclusive environment where people feel valued. After starting in the role, Technicians must complete the company training program and meet applicable state Board of Pharmacy registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Until those requirements are met, the Pharmacy Manager may restrict duties. Depending on state law and required training and certification, Technicians may also provide services such as immunizations and point-of-care testing, or staff offsite clinics. Some Technicians may complete additional requirements to become Technician Immunizers and support vaccine preparation and administration.
