About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail stores. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians follow company standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow practices, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team culture. Technicians must complete the company training program and meet applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Until all requirements are complete, the Pharmacy Manager may restrict duties. Where permitted by law and supported by training and certification, technicians may also provide patient health care services, including immunizations and point-of-care testing, and may voluntarily staff offsite clinics. Technician immunizer duties can include vaccine preparation and administration, patient education and referral to the Pharmacist-on-duty, monitoring and reporting adverse reactions, collecting and documenting patient information, and managing vaccine supplies.
